ISLAMABAD – US Special Representative for Afghanistan ReconciliationZalmay Khalilzad has conveyed US President Donald Trump best wishes toPakistan PM Imran Khan.
Khalilzad met with Pakistani PM Imran Khan here in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, the envoy conveyed US President Donald Trump’s bestwishes. “The US leadership is looking for a peaceful solution to the Afghanpeace process and mutual cooperation between the two sides,” Khalilzad toldthe premier.
Meanwhile, PM Imran said, “Pakistan wants a political solution to Afghanpeace and reconciliation.”

A day earlier, Khalilzad met with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi andhad reiterated President Trump’s desire to seek Pakistan’s cooperation forpeace and stability in Afghanistan. The foreign minister assured the USside of Pakistan’s steadfast support for a negotiated settlement.
