ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff (COAS)General Qamar Javed Bajwa held am important meeting on Wednesday.
As per the media report, both discussed Afghanistan peace process andoverall security situation of the country in a meeting at PM House onWednesday.
According to an official statement, the top civil and military leaders alsodiscussed professional matters related to armed forces, ongoinganti-terrorism operations and internal and external security of the countryamong other matters of mutual interest during the meeting.
United States President Donald Trump’s offer to mediate in Afghan peaceprocess also came under discussion.

The meeting follows a top US diplomat’s meeting with the prime ministerover the Afghanistan issue.
