Fakhar Zaman revealed, Skipper Babar Azam stopped me from hitting sixes in NZ match

Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam said that in the match against NewZealand, he had stopped his partner Fakhar Zaman from attempting sixesaggressively. However, opening batsman Fakhar Zaman continued to playaggressive shots.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a special video after Pakistan’ssuccess against New Zealand, in which Captain Babar Azam and Fakhar Zamandiscussed their plans regarding the victory.

In the video, Fakhar Zaman expressed his satisfaction with playing againstNew Zealand, but he faced some anxiety when opener Abdullah Shafique gotout because their plan was to accelerate in the second or third over.

Captain Babar Azam revealed that he had in mind that if Fakhar Zaman standshis ground, they will achieve the desired target comfortably because Fakharconsistently wins matches when he plays aggressively.

Babar Azam also mentioned that they initially planned to go for 20 overs,but the thought of rain never crossed their minds since the weather wasclear. However, suddenly, clouds appeared, and they had to adjust theirplans accordingly.

Fakhar Zaman began his innings even before Captain Babar, which prompted alighthearted exchange about what Babar would say after each shot, withFakhar asking, “What did you used to say after every shot?” Babar respondedwith a smile, “I used to say, ‘Fakhar, it’s alright, you hit one six,there’s no issue. When you come into the area, make sure you strike, butnot excessively,’ and he kept hitting powerfully.”
