Prime Minister Imran Khan’s big offer to JUI – F Chief Fazalur Rehman

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government is readyto accept ‘valid’ demands of the opposition parties except the JUI-F’sdemand for premier’s resignation, a private TV channel reported.

The premier reportedly made the remarks in a meeting with Pervez Khattak,who is heading negotiations with opposition parties participating in theprotest march, on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Khattak apprised the PM regarding meeting with theopposition’s Rahbar Committee, headed by JUI-F’s Akram Khan Durrani inIslamabad on November 4.

The prime minister said that the government’s team led by Pervez Khattakwas fully empowered to negotiate and instructed them to respond positivelyif the opposition displays seriousness towards reaching a consensus.

“The government is ready to accept all valid demands except the demand forresignation.”

Meanwhile, the Rehbar Committee said it had presented demands of theopposition to the government and detailed discussions were held in thiscontext.

Thousands of protesters have converged on the federal capital under thebanner of the “Azadi March” seeking to send Prime Minister Imran Khanpacking.

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had given the prime minister two daysdeadline to step down, which was later extended.
