The International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup matches being held in theIndian city of Ahmedabad are under the threat of terrorism, according toIndian media reports.
This claim is being made by the Indian media.The cricket’s global festivalis set to take place in India after a gap of four years, where the world’stop 10 teams will compete in 10 cities of India to claim the coveted trophy.
The opening match of the World Cup will be played at Ahmedabad’s NarendraModi Stadium between the defending champions England and runners-up NewZealand.
However, prior to the start of the World Cup, Indian media is alleging athreat of terrorism during the matches in Ahmedabad.
The Indian media states that there has been a threat of attacks byterrorists during the matches in Ahmedabad, leading to increased securitymeasures in and around Ahmedabad Stadium.
