The International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth (IPC-IG) has termedPakistan as one of the best countries in Asia when it comes to the “highestnumber of responses to social protection” during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s newly launched Ehsaas EmergencyCash Program has been lauded. PM Khan launched the program on April 1,2020, to offer financial support to millions of families as the country wasshut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Further, the program has been termed exemplary for achieving the goal ofsuccessfully reaching out to millions of needy families across the country.
