Pakistan is actively advocating for the visit of Saudi Crown PrinceMohammed bin Salman, who is scheduled to travel to India later this week toparticipate in the G-20 summit. While the Foreign Office has refrained fromdisclosing any details regarding the potential stopover of the Saudi defacto ruler on his way to New Delhi for the summit, sources within thePrime Minister’s Office have not ruled out the possibility.
An undisclosed source from the Prime Minister’s Office stated, “Nothing isofficial yet, but there are indications that the Saudi crown prince mayconsider a visit to Pakistan during his trip to India.”
Both sides have refrained from confirming the visit, and it is speculatedthat they might be inclined to keep it secret until the last moment.However, if the visit materializes, it is expected to be of relativelyshort duration, according to insider information.
