ISLAMABAD: The finance ministry has notified that new Diyat amount – thefinancial compensation paid to the victims or their legal heirs in the caseof murder or bodily harm – for the fiscal year 2023-24.
A notification was issued by the finance ministry regarding the Diyatamount for FY2023-24. The Diyat amount was fixed at 6,757,902 which isequal to 30,630 grams of silver.[image: Diyat amount, finance ministry, financial compensation]
In August, on the recommendation of the finance ministry, the InterimFederal Cabinet on Tuesday fixed the amount of Diyat, which is equal to30,630 grams of silver, at Rs6,757,902 for the year 2023-24.
