United Nations has lauded the role of Pakistan in setting the stage forpeace process in Afghanistan.
Briefing Security Council, UN Secretary-General’s Special Representativefor Afghanistan, Deborah Lyons also welcomed the prospect of intra-Afghantalks saying it is a historic moment.
She also thanked member states including Pakistan, Qatar and United Statesas well as so many others who have engaged in intensive diplomatic effortsto get us to this point.
