Saudi and UAE Foreign Ministers met COAS General Bajwa, key assurances given by visiting dignitaries to Pakistan

RAWALPINDI – Saudi Arabia and UAE Foreign Ministers met COAS General QamarBajwa and key assurances were given by visiting dignitaries to Pakistan inregards to the Occupied Kashmir crisis.

Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Ahmed Al Jubeir and UAE’sForeign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan have assured completesupport of both their countries “to resolve the situation created byIndia’s unilateral steps in occupied Kashmir”, the Inter-Services PublicRelations said on Thursday.

The assurance was given during the visiting Ministers’ meeting with Chiefof Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi.

According to the military’s media wing, matters of mutual interestincluding growing bilateral ties and the security situation in the regionwere discussed.

The foreign ministers appreciated Pakistan’s role for peace and stabilityin the region. In turn, Gen Bajwa said that Pakistan is proud of its”special strategic and brotherly relationship” with Saudi Arabia and theUnited Arab Emirates.

The ministers had called on Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and PrimeMinister Imran Khan yesterday.
