Indian Army slammed back at home over inefficiency against Chinese Army

ISLAMABAD – Indian Army has been slammed back at home over inefficiencyagainst Chinese Army at the Northern borders of the country.

The Indian Army has denied claims of Arunachal Pradesh BJP MP Tapir Gaoabout a Chinese intrusion in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradeshnear the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The BJP MP on Wednesday had said in a Facebook post that Chinese troopsintruded inside the Indian territory for over 60 kilometres and built awooden bridge in Anjaw district bordering China. He had said the woodenbridge was built in August near Chaglagam, which is the last securityoutpost.

“The McMahon line (which demarcates India-China border) is at a distance ofapproximately 100 km from Chaglagam, now if China makes a bridge at adistance of 25 km from Chaglagam, that implies China is already 60-70 kminto our territory,” he had said.

Reacting to this, the Army clarified that there has been no such incursion.”There is a differing perception of the alignment of the LAC, as in manyother areas.

The terrain is thickly vegetated and all movements are undertaken on footalong nalas and streams. During monsoons whenever the nalas are in spate, temporary bridges are constructed by the patrols for their movement,” newsagency IANS quoted an Army statement.
