Indian military opens direct fire on funeral prayers of martyrs, twenty people hit

SRINAGAR – At least twenty people sustained severe wounds as Indian troopsopened fire during funeral prayers of the martyrs in Occupied Kashmir.

The locals chanted slogans for independence and also waved Pakistani flag.

On the other hand, a civilian was martyred and another injured in firing byIndian soldiers in Kohli area of Gool tehsil in Ramban district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident took place late Saturdaynight. The locals told media that the troops opened fire and killed acivilian identified as Muhammad Shafi Gujjar and injured another ShakeelAhmad. Shakeel has been shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

Both the civilians, according to locals, were engaged in cattle trade.

SSP Ramban Mohan Lal said an FIR has been registered against 58 RashtariyaRifles of the Indian army at Dharamkund police station.

The troops killed 12 people in just four days.
