WASHINGTON – Former Vice President Joe Biden would beat President DonaldTrump if the two were to face off in a US presidential election held today,a Rasmussen Reports poll revealed on Friday.
“The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch biweekly telephone andonline survey finds that Biden bests Trump 48 percent to 44 percent amonglikely US voters,” a press release summarizing the poll said. “Sevenpercent (7%) remain undecided.”
Biden, who was former President Barack Obama’s vice president for eightyears, picks up 80 percent of Democrats and holds a three-point lead amongvoters not affiliated with either major party, while Trump earns 80 percentsupport among Republicans, the release said.

Rasmussen, one of the few polls to accurately predict the outcome of the2016 presidential election, said this survey was first in a series of pollsmatching Trump against leading Democratic candidates.
