Following Australia, Japan has approved a mango processing facility forexports from Pakistan, as announced by the Advisor to the Prime Minister onCommerce, Abdul Razak Dawood, on Friday.——————————

The advisor tweeted that the Roomi Foods Vapour heat treatment plant forthe export of mangoes from Pakistan has been approved by the Japaneseauthorities.
He added that this is the only facility in Pakistan that is equipped toprocess mangoes as per the quarantine requirements of the Japanesegovernment.
“I congratulate them for this and commend the facilitation provided byDepartment of Plant Protection of Pakistan and Trade Counsel Tokyo Japan,”he wrote.——————————

The approval by Japan comes days after Australia approved two of Pakistan’smango processing facilities – Mustafa Agriculture Farm and Iftekhar Ahmed &Co in Sindh – for exports. The facilities had been approved by theAustralian Department of Water, Agriculture and Environment.
