*LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday sent a defamationnotice of Rs50 million to Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah for issuingmisogynistic remarks about party’s female workers who attended its recentpublic meeting in Lahore.*
The PML-N leader was served the notice through PTI leader Uzma Kardar. Thenotice sent on the address of his Patiala House asks the minister to submithis response by May 07.
The PTI has been demanding an apology from Rana Sanaullah over hisoffensive remarks and the opposition lawmakers walked out of the assembly aday earlier after the minister declined to tender apology.
In his own words: “I will not even say ‘s’ of sorry,” said Rana whileaddressing a session of the Punjab Assembly.
“Opposition members keep asking me to say sorry but I will not,” heasserted. He underlined that he withdrew his statement but would notapologise to anyone on the issue.
