PESHAWAR – Swabi police arrested five suspects in anti-terrorism court(ATC) judge Aftab Afridi assassination as raids were conducted in parts ofKhyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Police have lodged a first information report (FIR) of the murder of a SwatAnti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge with his three family members at the SwabiInterchange on Islamabad-Peshwar Motorway. The FIR was registered on acomplaint of the ATC judge’s son, Majid Afridi, at Chota Lahore policestation.

Supreme Court Bar Association President Latif Afridi, Jamil, Danish Afridi,Jamal Afridi, and Abid Muhammad Shafiq are among those named accused in themurder case.

The DPO said two vehicles mentioned in the FIR were also recovered whilethe son of the slain judge will have a look at the arrested suspects duringan identification parade.
