RAWALPINDI – Indian army troops on Friday targeted civil population in anunprovoked fire in Chirikot Sector of Line of Control( LOC).

According to Inter Services Public Relations press release, six citizensincluding a woman and four children sustained injuries.

It added the injured have been evacuated to hospital. Those who sustainedinjuries includedShabnam W/O Raqeeb Hussain Shah, age 35 years, Kashan S/O Raqeeb HussainShah, age 13 years, Faizan S/O Raqeeb Hussain Shah, age 6 years, Nisah D/OShafique, age 14 years, Asifa D/O Shafique, age 10 years, residents ofvillage Serian and Shahid Hussain S/O Muhammad Hussain, age 28 years,resident of village Chafar.

It said that Pakistan Army troops responded effectively targeting Indianposts undertaking the fire. There were reports of killing of five Indiansoldiers and many injured, it added.
