ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Wednesday said former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was the most popular political leader of the country and his narrative was also popular among the masses.
Talking to a private news channel, he said people were supporting Nawaz Sharif’s narrative and their participation in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) political gathering was a proof of the fact in this regard.
He said Nawaz Sharif was raising his voice for the respect and sanctity of vote.
Tariq Fazal said former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was disqualified on having an Iqama but not on corruption charges and not a single case of corruption had been proved against him or his family till date.
He said Wajid Zia failed to provide any evidence before the National Accountability Court against Nawaz Sharif or his
family and he had no answers of the court questions regarding Nawaz Sharif corruption.
Replying to a question, he said people were well awared about the politics of co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari and he had made the party on provincial level from federation.
Tariq Chaudhry said horse trading had made at large scale during the senate elections.
He said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan had given irresponsible statement against the parliament which was reflecting that he was not a mature and sensible politician. APP/AFP
