ISLAMABAD – The Meeting of National Assembly Standing Committee onCommunications was held in Multan on Thursday to review the progress onPindi Bhattian Multan Motorway (M-4), Multan-Sukkur Motorway M-5 and treeplantation alongside the motorways.
MNA Hamid-ul-Haq Khalil presided over the meeting.
The Committee was informed that 238 kilometers long Motorway fromFaisalabad to Multan would be opened for traffic in august this year.
About the progress of Multan-Sukkur motorway project, the meeting wasbriefed that 392 kilometers long motorway M-5 will be completed in August2019 at a cost of 298 billion rupees.
It was also informed that forty thousand saplings will be planted on thebanks of Gojra Khanewal motorway section while seventy thousand onFaisalabad Gojra Section.
