Australian journalist backs Shahid Afridi on Kashmir tweet, trolls Indians

ISLAMABAD – Dennis Freedman, an Australian cricket journalist, is hugelypopular in Pakistan and he never misses an opportunity to troll Indiancricket fans on social media.

When earlier this week Shahid Afridi angered Indian media by voicing hissupports for the people of Occupied Kashmir, Dennis appeared to be rubbingslat in the wounds with his tweet.

“The amount of grief that Afridi causes India with bat, ball and tweets isunparalleled,” he wrote on Twitter, a day after Afridi’s message sparked astorm in India.

While his message was liked and retweeted by thousands of his followers ,the journalist also got angry response from other side of the border.

Cricket fans from both the countries mocked each others’s team by postingmemes and not-so-nice messages in response to Feedman’s tweet.

Afiridi on Tuesday wrote on his Twitter account: “Appalling and worrisomesituation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot downby oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence.Wonder where is the UN & other int bodies & why aren’t they making effortsto stop this bloodshed?”.

Indian media went into frenzy after Aridi’s condemnation of human rightsviolations in Occupied Kashmir.
