RAWALPINDIN – On Kashmir Solidarity Day, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) GeneralQamar Javed Bajwa has left a message for brave Kashmiris fighting the warfor their independence.
He said the struggle of Kashmiris under Indian-rule is destined to succeed.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, the armychief expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
“Repression of Indian occupying forces can never suppress valiant spirit ofKashmiris who rightfully await awakening of international community forplebiscite under UN resolution,” he said. “Regardless of the ordeal, theirstruggle is destined to succeed Insha Allah.”
Separetly, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said the people andgovernment of Pakistan reaffirm their continued unflinching moral,diplomatic and political support to the oppressed people of Indian occupiedJammu and Kashmir in their legitimate struggle in the face of increasingIndian brutalities and gross human rights violations.
“Pakistan calls upon the international community to urge India to respectthe Human Rights Charter; put an immediate end to the gross human rightsviolations of innocent Kashmiris in IoK and ensure expedited resolution ofthe Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with the UNSC Resolutions and theaspirations of the Kashmiri people.
This is essential for regional peace and development,” he said in a messageon Kashmir Solidarity Day being observed on February 5.
