COAS General Bajwa and US Ambassador Khalilzad held important meeting

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and USSpecial Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Ambassador ZalmayKhalilzad Monday reaffirmed their commitment towards the common goal ofpeace, stability in the region and agreed on continued engagement atmultiple levels.

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation met the ArmyChief at General Headquarters here, said an Inter Services Public Relations(ISPR) press release.

The COAS and US envoy discussed matters of mutual interest includingoverall regional security situation with particular reference to ongoingAfghan reconciliation process during the meeting.
