Centralization of powers has been established within the Sindh Police, with the authority to make appointments taken away from DIGs and SSPs.

According to sources, even on serious negligence, officers of grades 19 and 20 cannot remove junior officers.
The police sources state that under the rules, the authority to remove or appoint SHOs lies with the SSPs.
