Good News for Pakistanis seeking employment in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Arabian Cabinet, led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, convened in NEOM on Tuesday to assess the state's preliminary budget statement for the fiscal year 1445-1446 Hijri (2024), along with its associated projections and goals to advance the Kingdom's comprehensive development efforts.

According to reports from the Saudi Gazette, the Cabinet also examined strategies for enhancing the quality of services offered to citizens and residents, fostering economic growth, diversification, and maintaining financial stability.

Additionally, the Cabinet delved into labor market statistics for the second quarter of the current year, revealing a decline in the unemployment rate among Saudis to 8.3%, down from 9.7% in the same period the previous year, thanks to the initiatives and programs outlined in Vision 2030.

There have been created in avenues for employment in Saudi Arabia for locals and overseas workers for which overseas workers will be unlisted in the Kingdom.

Furthermore, the Cabinet addressed correspondence received from the presidents of Benin and Chad concerning relations between the Kingdom and these nations and discussed methods to strengthen these ties.

The Cabinet also reviewed recent discussions between senior Saudi officials and their counterparts from various countries, exploring opportunities for cooperation through visits and partnerships.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Minister of Media Salman Bin Yousef Al-Dosari highlighted the Cabinet's examination of coordination council committees' activities involving the Kingdom and several other countries, with a focus on initiatives aimed at bolstering collaborative efforts across various domains to align with the aspirations and interests of their respective populations.
