In Islamabad, there are reports of the former federal minister, Fawad Chaudhary, being apprehended at his residence, as indicated by statements made by his wife on a social media platform, formerly known as Twitter.
On Saturday morning, Hiba Fawad Chaudhary posted a message saying, "Fawad Arrested and taken to an unknown place." This claim was also confirmed by Fawad's brother in discussions with the media. The details surrounding the arrest are currently unclear, and Fawad Chaudhary's current location has not been disclosed, causing concerns for his family and supporters.
Fawad's wife has mentioned that they are unsure about his whereabouts after the arrest and are seeking information and assurance regarding his well-being.
Notably, the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad had recently granted pre-arrest bail to Fawad Chaudhry until November 13 in a case related to the violation of Article 144.
Just a day prior, another prominent figure, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf's leader Asad Qaiser, was also arrested from his residence in Islamabad. He was subsequently presented in the court of Judicial Magistrate Islamabad on Saturday, and the court ordered him to be held in judicial custody.
