KARACHI – The tussle between the federal government and the Bol TV Network seems to deepen as yesterday Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority had suspended the licences of the Bol TV. However the Bol TV Network has been able to set aside the orders of the PEMRA with the help of the Sindh High Court.
The Sindh High Court on Thursday suspended the notification of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority regarding the ban on Bol News and Bol Entertainment.
The suspension by the provincial high court was confirmed by televangelist and senior Bol News anchor Aamir Liaquat Hussain through a tweet.
The media watchdog had on Wednesday revoked the licenses of Bol News and Bol Entertainment (Pak News) and ordered a complete shutdown of transmission of both channels.
