PESHAWAR: Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that Pakistan has believed in peace but any aggression from the Indian side would be responded with iron hands in order to intact the sovereignty and integrity of the motherland.
Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said this while addressing the Tobacco Convention at District Swabi. Beside him, the Convention was also attended by Adviser to the Chief Minister for Industries and Trade Abdul Karim Khan, elders of the area, farmers and members of the Tobacco Board.
He said Indian violation of the Pakistani airspace on February 27 highlighted the actual and curial face of India to the rest of world. He also paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Armed forces for quick and timely response to the Indian Military Jet violated Pakistan Airspace and downed two of the aircrafts besides arresting IAF Pilot Abhinandan who was later on released on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan as peace gesture.
“We could not allow anyone to challenge the sovereignty and integrity of the motherland and if anyone wants to destabilize would be dealt with iron hands,” Asad Qaiser warned. He said the world has saw the positive approached of Pakistan against negative approached adopted by the Indian by violating the airspace and fired shells on killing innocent people including women and children living near the LOC.
“We have treated the Indian pilot Abhinandan in the line of Geneva Convention,” he added.
He said Pakistan is heading to becoming an economical hub which actually created panic in the rank of India which cannot see the progress made by Pakistan. He criticized the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who for his political gain and just 22 seats deliberately pushed the people of India into war flams.
His negative approached, he said, de-stabilized the whole region besides creating a big threat to the peace and stability of South Asian countries. He said the people of Pakistan stood with its Armed forces on each front and would not afraid of any sacrifices for the protection of motherland.
“We will protect our motherland till the last drop of our blood,” Asad Qaiser added.
About the rights of the Tobacco growers, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, who is hailing from District Swabi, said that he would soon constitute a parliamentary committee to intact the rights of the Tobacco farmers besides taking steps for the solution of the problems being faced by them.
“We will bring real change in the improvement of the live standard of the people and farmers associated with tobaccos and also amend the law of the Pakistan Tobacco Board so that to stop exploitation of the Tobacco farmers,” he remarked.
He said no one would be allowed exploiting the genuine rights of the growers at any level and through this amendment in the law of the Pakistan Tobacco Board each of the farmers would be protected. It is my mention to voice in the favour of farmers as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is producing 98 percent of the total country’s tobacco in which 65 percent is coming from District Swabi only.
Asad Qaiser on this occasion disclosed that in the past the government has collected Rs. 130 billion as Tex over Tobacco but there are no incentives or protection for the farmers of Tobacco which clearly indicated the sincerity of the governments in the past toward Tobacco farmers.
