PM Imran Khan summons emergency session of National Security Committee

*ISLAMABAD: *Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) on Sunday.

The committee has been convened to discuss matters related to national security in the wake of New Delhi’s use of cluster munitions in Indian-occupied Kashmir, said Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broading Firdous Ashiq Awan.

The meeting will be attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, and other top civilian and military representatives.

Pakistan has vehemently condemned India’s use of cluster munitions on civilian population along the Line of Control, in violation of international humanitarian laws and the Geneva Convention.
