Pakistan beat Qatar in Asian Volleyball Championship being played in Myanmar

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan beat Qatar link by 3-0 on Saturday in the Asian link Men Under-23 Volleyball Championship being played at Naypyidaw link, Myanmar link.

According to information received here, Pakistan link outplayed Qatar link in three sets by 25-22, 25-11 and 25-22. In the 2nd set Pakistan link Murad Khan took straight 6 points with his service as Qatar link proved weak in reception and defense.

In the 3rd set, Pakistan link team dominated all link through the game and ultimately defeated Qatar link. Pakistan link proved superior link to Qatar link in all link departments including service, reception, blocking and attack link.

Pakistani setter Hamid exhibited great skills while Wasim and Abdullah were outstanding in attacking. Libero Nadeem came out very well in defense. The Korean coach link Kim used all link players in the match through good substitution.

Pakistan team will play Bahrain link on Sunday link and will face China link Taipei link on Monday. In the other group C match, Chinese link Taipei link defeated Bahrain link with straight 3-0 sets. Pakistan link needs to win at least one more match in its group to qualify for the quarterfinals.

In other matches today, Myanmar link Hong Kong link, Kazakhstan link beat Vietnam link and Thailand link thrashed New Zealand link.
