LAHORE - As many as 3,000 Sikh yatrees will arrive in Pakistan through a special train from India on April 12 to celebrate Besakhi festival here.
Official sources said that the main ceremony - Bhog Akhand Paath Sahib -- will be held at Punja Sahib Hassanabad on April 14 and the Sikh yatrees would perform their rituals. Sikh yatrees from all over the world and high officials of Pakistan would also participate in the ceremony.
During the 10-day stay in Pakistan, the yatrees would visit their religious places including Janum Asthan Guru Nanak Sahib, Rohri Sahib Aimanabad, Gurdwara Kartarpur in Narowal, Sucha Sauda and Dera Sahib Lahore and perform their rituals.
The government would provide all facilities including foolproof security, accommodation, transport and medical to the yatrees.
