LAHORE: JUI (F) leader Moulana Fazal ur Rehman and CM Shahbaz Sharif have agreed to constitute a joint committee to build consensus on Women Protection Bill.
As per details, religious parties leaders led by Moulana Fazal ur Rehman called on Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif here at today (Monday) in Lahore and expressed their reservation over Women Protection Bill in the meeting.
Issues of Women Protection Bill and reservations of religious parties were discussed in detail in the meeting while CM Shahbaz assured them that their recommendations will be included in the Bill.
Professor Sajid Mir, JI Asad Ullah and Moulana Amjad Khan were included in the delegation while Rana Sana Ullah, Provincial Law Minister and Salman Sufi were also present in the meeting.
Speaking at the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that we can never imagine to make a legislation against the teaching of Islam but violence on women is a bitter reality and no one can deny from this curse.
CM made it clear that Punjab government will take the religious parties into confidence and their recommendations will be included in Women Protection Bill.
