NEPAL – Pakistani athletes shine at South Asian Games as they bag six goldmedals in different categories of the tournament.
According to details, Pakistan athletes have bagged six gold, eleven silverand fifteen bronze medals in the ongoing tournament held in Pokhara andKathmandu.
According to the latest results, Saadi Ghulam Abbas won gold medal in themen’s 75 kg karate event, Noman Ahmed in 50kg Karate category and MohammadUzair in athletics.
In taekwondo, Shahzeb bagged a gold medal in the men’s 54 kg category,while Sidra Batool and Muhammad Faheem bagged silver medals in the samecategory.
Mohammad Khalil Akhtar, Ghulam Mustafa Bashir and Maqbool Hussain baggedgold medal in the center fire pistol team event while Ghufran Adil, AqibLatif and Zeeshan Shakir got gold in 3x position rifle team competition.
Pakistan’s volley ball team won silver medal after losing a match to Indiaby 3-1. Sami-ullah won bronze medal in 100 meter race while men and womenteams in badminton also won bronze medals.
After defeating Sri Lanka in the semifinals of tennis, Pakistan men’s teamhas reached the finals.
