CSS age limit change: PTI government takes an important step along with changing name of the central exams

LAHORE – Over the sensitive issue of CSS age limit change, PTI governmenttakes an important step.

The government has decided to reduce the age limit for CSS exams by twoyears. According to sources, the government has proposed to reduce the agelimit from 30 years to 28 years.

The age limit for the examination of government employees has also beenreduced by four years from 32 years.

It was mentioned that it also has been decided to rename the CentralSuperior Services (CSS) to the Central Services of Pakistan. It was alsoproposed to focus on the elimination of the difference between social andscience candidates.

It was also suggested to introduce the percentile score system to provideequal opportunities to the candidates. The move to eliminate the specialquota in the CSS examination for the candidates from backward areas is alsounder consideration.

It has been proposed to set the special quota on the basis of theeducational background rather than just the domicile.
