ISLAMABAD – United States Representative Zalmay Khalilzad called onForeign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday.

He apprised the foreign minister about details of US President Trump’sletter to Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that the US president hadwritten the letter to seek Pakistan’s cooperation in the Afghanreconciliation process.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan will continue itscooperation for political reconciliation in Afghanistan honestly. “Peace inAfghanistan is in the best interests of Pakistan,” he said.

He welcomed US President Donald Trump’s message for seeking Pakistancooperation in the Afghan reconciliation process.
