PM Imran Khan seeks China’s help in curbing white collar crime in Pakistan

*BEIJING – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan said that Pakistan looks forwardto cooperation from its all-weather ally to deal with white collar crimes.*

Addressing a ceremony in Central Party School on Sunday, PM Khan hailedChina’s role for always assisting Pakistan in the time of need.

“We want to take benefit from China’s experiences and aim to strengthen ourinstitutions to subsequently control corruption,” Premier Khan said, whilefurther committing to rid Pakistan of poverty.

Dubbing his audience as the future leadership of China, PM Khan told them,“the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is highly significant for us,as the war on terror severely marred the state’s economy.”

The CPEC will help foster coordination between the two countries and sucheconomic zones will bring financial prosperity to Pakistan, he added.

Recalling the time of 1960s, the Prime Minister shed light on facts whenPakistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) was the highest and the country wasdeemed as a role model for Malaysia and North Korea, “however, nowfraudulence and money laundering have destructively affected Pakistan,” helamented.

On November 2, Prime Minister Imran Khan landed in China on a four-day official visit.
