The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expressed hisdissatisfaction with President Arif Alvi for failing to announce theelection date, according to statements made by his sister, Aleema Khan, onWednesday. While addressing reporters outside the Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) in Lahore, Aleema Khan conveyed her disappointment over the absenceof an election date announcement. She further remarked that President ArifAlvi should have advocated for the people’s rights in this matter.
In response to a question, the sister of the former Prime Minister allegedthat she is facing scrutiny and suspicion for mentioning Donald Lu’s name,whom PTI believes played a role in their government’s removal.
Aleema Khan stated her willingness to face arrest if necessary. Meanwhile,on the same day, the Lahore police initiated efforts to apprehend PTIleader Asad Umar and two sisters of PTI Chairman Imran Khan in connectionwith the violent incidents that occurred on May 9.
