A conspiracy to overthrow COAS Asim Munir revealed?

In a significant revelation that deals another blow to the Imran Khan-ledparty, Usman Dar, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has assertedthat the May 9 riots, during which PTI workers vandalized state facilitiesand led to the former prime minister’s arrest, were a deliberate effort toremove the army chief from his position.

Dar also announced his resignation from the party while presenting a”charge sheet” against PTI Chairman Imran Khan. He disclosed during aninterview on a private TV channel that these events were premeditated in ameeting held at the former prime minister’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

Dar had been missing for about a month, and his reappearance prompted hisbrother-in-law to file a petition in the Sindh High Court, which directedthe police to register a case regarding his disappearance. Now, as a formerPTI leader, Dar is attributing responsibility to the party’s leadership fororchestrating the May 9 incidents.

He claims that Imran Khan himself presided over the meeting where the “planof action” was decided in case of his arrest, instructing the party totarget sensitive installations. Imran Khan is currently in jail, havingbeen arrested on May 9 in a corruption case, and subsequently imprisonedagain in the ‘cipher’ case.
