ISLAMABAD – Sindh High Court (SHC) has turned down the petition of theopposition leader in National Assembly and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharifagainst Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on Friday.
Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif had moved the court to declare the PTIleader ineligible by challenging Faisal Vawda’s success in NA-249 ingeneral elections 2018.
Shahbaz Sharif had taken the stance that Faisal Vawda had rigged theelections and requested the tribunal to nullify the polls.
Later, talking to newsmen at the high court Faisal Vawda thanked theAlmighty that the verdict came in his favor.
It may be remembered that Faisal Vawda had bagged 35,344 votes whileShahbaz Sharif received 34,626 votes in NA-249 in General Election.
