WASHINGTON – The United Nations has expressed grave disappointment overIndian decision to deport seven Rohingya Muslims to Myanmar despitelast-minute appeals that doing so will put them at risk.
The UN special rapporteur on racism, Tendayi Achiume said today Indiarisked breaching its international legal obligations by returning the mento possible harm.
She said given the ethnic identity of the men, this is a flagrant denial oftheir right to protection.
