SRNAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership has calledfor a complete shutdown on Monday when India is going to stage a drama inthe name of municipal and panchayat elections in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the leadership comprising Syed AliGilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik while issuing protestcalendar asked people to observe the shutdown to express their resentmentagainst the election ploy.
The leaders said that as part of Doval doctrine, an attempt is being madeto thrust an exercise in the name of elections on the people of Kashmir tobreak their resolve for standing up against India for their fundamentalright.
