This move camein response to a flurry of social media posts that had circulated, allegingthe discovery of a substantial amount of cash and gold at the residence ofthe Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) chairperson, a position sheholds.
These posts suggested that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) hadunearthed a staggering Rs97 billion from Marri’s home. However, it wassubsequently revealed that this news was entirely fabricated, as exposed bythe account known as “Expose Propaganda.”
In a statement shared on her social media handle, Shazia Marri underscoredher commitment to her political journey, spanning over 21 years. Sheemphasized that her dedication and sincerity in serving the people, both asan elected member and a minister, were unwavering.
Her conscience remained satisfied with the integrity she had maintainedthroughout her political career. She conveyed her determination to takelegal action against those responsible for peddling false and baseless newsabout her.
The day prior to issuing the legal notices, Shazia Marri expressed hergratitude to those who had worked diligently to debunk the fake news thathad tarnished her reputation.
