ISLAMABAD – According to the latest edition of The Global Liveability Indexpublished by The Economist’s Intelligence Unit, Karachi is among the leastliveable cities among 140 surveyed cities of the world.
Karachi was ranked at 136th spot, one better than last year, making it the5th least liveable city. The other poorest performing cities on the indexinclude Damascus (Syria), Lagos (Nigeria), Dhaka (Bangladesh) and Tripoli(Libya).
Austria’s capital, Vienna has been ranked as the world’s most liveable cityfor the second consecutive year.
The index rated 140 destinations under the following categories:
1. Stability 2. Healthcare 3. Culture and Environment 4. Education 5. Infrastructure

– Stability – 20 – Healthcare – 45.8 – Culture and Environment – 38.7 – Education – 66.7 – Infrastructure – 51.8
