NACTA to be reformed as a National Security Institution: Sources

ISLAMABAD – National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) will be reformedby the PTI government, it has been revealed.

NACTA is likely to be reformed as a national security institution as it waspart of the party’s manifesto.

The PTI manifesto envisaged NACTA as an institution where all relevantstakeholders could focus on national security issues in an organised manner.

NACTA was setup in 2009 with the goal of developing Pakistan’scounter-terrorism strategy and ironing out the process of itsimplementation.
