ISLAMABAD – Yemeni army forces have targeted a military base in SaudiArabia’s southern province of Najran with a domestically-manufacturedballistic missile, a Yemeni military official says.
Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah news website, citing a spokesman for theYemeni army, reported that Yemeni missile defense units hit a newly-builtmilitary base in the southern parts of the Saqqam area withBadr-F ballistic missile early Saturday.
The official added that the missile, which successfully hit its designatedtarget, either killed or wounded dozens of Saudi-led mercenaries in thebase, which in turn was partly destroyed in the attack.
On July 28, Yemeni forces destroyed a Saudi-led command center in the samearea with a short-range ballistic missile leaving a large number ofSaudi-led troops either killed or wounded.
