PM Imran Khan summons emergency session of National Security Committee

*ISLAMABAD: *Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned an emergency meeting ofthe National Security Committee (NSC) on Sunday.

The committee has been convened to discuss matters related to nationalsecurity in the wake of New Delhi’s use of cluster munitions inIndian-occupied Kashmir, said Special Assistant to the Prime Minister forInformation and Broading Firdous Ashiq Awan.

The meeting will be attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar JavedBajwa, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Defence Minister PervezKhattak, and other top civilian and military representatives.

Pakistan has vehemently condemned India’s use of cluster munitions oncivilian population along the Line of Control, in violation ofinternational humanitarian laws and the Geneva Convention.
