Two PTM MNAs from Waziristan decide their political future

*ISLAMABAD: *Pashtun Tehafiz Movement newly elected Members NationalAssembly (MNAs) from North and South Waziristan tribal districts have saidthat they would opt to remain independent in the parliament; however, theycould extend issue-based support to the government as well as theopposition.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Ali Wazir, MNA from SouthWaziristan and Mohsin Dawar, from North Waziristan, said that they wouldnot side with the government or the opposition, but would sit in theparliament as independents.

They said that both the government and the opposition were buying theloyalties of the elected representatives but were least bothered about thesufferings of the people of the terror-stricken tribal areas.

Wazir said that restoration of peace was their prime demand and they wouldraise their voice in this regard at all forums, adding that since publicreposed confidence in them and voted them to the parliament, they wouldtake up the issue on the august forum.

He vowed that they would make all-out efforts for restoring peace andensuring the writ of the government in the erstwhile FATA.
