ISLAMABAD – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd)Javed Iqbal on Friday has said that there is a need for internationalcooperation to eliminate the corruption.
Virtually addressing the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session,the NAB chief said that corruption is inflicting loss of 1260 billiondollar annually to the developing countries as it breeds injustice andpoverty.
“NAB being the focal agency of Pakistan under the United NationsConvention against Corruption (UNCAC) is determined to weed out thisscourge of corruption and to make Pakistan corruption-free by adoptingaccountability for all policy,” he added.
Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal urged the international community to take sternsteps to halt money transfers from the poor country.
