ISLAMABAD – Indian Charge d’Affaires was summoned by Director General(South Asia & SAARC) Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry to register Pakistan’s strongprotest over over violation of the ceasefire agreement at Working Boundary.

Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said that the Indianforces resorted to unprovoked firing at the Working Boundary. “Indiancharge d’affaires was summoned to lodge a strong protest over theviolation,” the spokesman said adding that India should adhere to aceasefire agreement.

The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and Indiahave contacted and also discussed the existing mechanism of the hotline.
