Pakistani President Arif Alvi exposed Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir during NAM Summit

ISLAMABAD – President Arif Alvi on Monday informed the world communityabout Indian atrocities being faced by people in occupied Jammu and Kashmirdespite coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing Non-Aligned Movement virtual summit, the president said thatsituation in the occupied territory has aggravated in the wake of pandemic.

He revealed that Kashmiris were being denied access to medical supplies andhigh speed internet.

Talking about changes in domicile law, Alvi said: “Indian move to alter thedemographic structure of occupied Jammu & Kashmir in complete violation ofinternational law and relevant UNSC resolutions”.

The Non-Aligned Movement represents the biggest grouping of countriesoutside the United Nations, comprising 120 developing countries from Asia,Africa and Latin America.

The Special Online Summit of the Heads of State and Government of NAMMember States was convened at the initiative of the President Ilham Aliyevof Azerbaijan, in his capacity as current Chair of the Movement.

During his address, the president highlighted measures being taken by thePakistani government to control the spread of the virus in the country. Healso informed the participants about relief package announced by PrimeMinister Imran Khan for families facing financial hardships due to COVID-19pandemic.

President Dr. Arif Alvi also seeks support for developing countries indealing with the pandemic’s impact and highlighted PM’s “Global Initiativeon Debt Relief” for developing countries.
