LAHORE – Inaugurating Haier Phase Two extension project and JW Forland carplant near Lahore on Saturday, Prime Minister said government is strivingto improve ease of doing business to facilitate domestic and foreigninvestors.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said foreign investment and creation of wealthwill help Pakistan getting out of economic crisis and to achieveprosperity.
He said red tapism, unnecessary delays and corruption are main obstacles inthe way of doing business in the country.
Imran Khan said this is first phase of JW Forland car plant in Pakistan andin subsequent phases complete manufacturing of vehicles will be done in thecountry.
The Prime Minister said the electric cars to be manufactured in future willhelp resolve the pollution problem in Lahore and other big cities of thecountry.
He said the government will receive a tax of 30 billion rupees after thecomplete expansion of the project. He expressed hope that these vehicleswill be exported out of Pakistan earning valuable foreign exchange for thecountry.
The Prime Minister congratulated CEO Javed Afridi for bringing foreigninvestment in the country and creating employment opportunities for localpeople.
